One fun outing was to the Swan House in Findlay for proper tea. I've been a number of times, but this trip was actually organized by Angela to celebrate our friend Heather's birthday (and mine, too, by chance because of the timing). It was Heather's first visit, and she loved it!
Other than that, there have been days at the pool, lots of books and movies, long walks with Mark...all the wonderful, leisurely things about summer.
Now that summer school has started, I'm working on adjusting to the new schedule. I teach Mondays-Thursdays, 1-2:35pm, so I've got lots of flexibility about when to get the planning and grading done. I can also enjoy three day weekends, and this is no exception!
Yesterday, I spent some time with Angela to celebrate her birthday, and we went to the Wintergarden Nature Preserve in town to check it out. We enjoyed a stroll around the trail, even spotting some wildlife!
As it happens, I suggested to Mark that the two of us should go sometime, and we ended up back there again later that afternoon. On our trip, we saw three deer!
Last night, Mark and I watched the city fireworks from our font lawn, and today we walked over to the library, stopping for frozen yogurt on the way home.
I'm thrilled to have another whole day of weekend left to enjoy!
