Thanksgiving

We spent another lovely Thanksgiving with Mark's Uncle Mike and Aunt Debbe Jo in Michigan this year! It was a very relaxing, quiet few days. This year, Mark's married cousins spent the holiday with their in-laws, so we had just six of us on Thanksgiving day, including Erin and her friend. Even the cooking this year seemed laid-back--Aunt Debbe (and I) did some of the work ahead, and we had some convenience foods (like pre-baked rolls and leftover mashed potatoes from another event), so Thursday morning went really smoothly.

In the afternoon, all of us girls made wreaths in Aunt Debbe Jo's cool craft room:

On Friday morning, Aunt Debbe and I ventured out for a quick shopping trip in Rockford, a small town nearby (so no major Black Friday crowds). I picked up a couple of pairs of boots, which I really needed. Mark and I left after lunch and made it back to BG by late afternoon. We're so thankful for all the blessings in our lives, especially our family and friends!
