Another big week
I keep thinking I should post something new here, but I don't think I have that much of interest to say. I could join in the political conversation, but I can't seem to get motivated to do that. So, I'll just say that we're getting ready for another busy week. This morning we got here early so I could observe another class at CESL. Tomorrow night, I'm going to ride down to Nogales, MX to observe a class in CESL's evening program there. In the meantime, I'm supposed to be typing up a teacher interview report for Wednesday's methods class. The trouble is that I haven't completed the interview yet. (I sent questions to a teacher over a week ago, but I'm still waiting for her response. Worst case, I can hopefully interview the teacher I observe tomorrow evening on the way home and write it up on Wednesday morning...). Mark's got another concert on Friday, which I'll miss because I'm going to a conference on Friday and Saturday. I'll be missing the first two conference sessions because I'll be teaching, but hopefully the rest will be good. I had to pay $20 to go, so I want to get my money's worth! I do get dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday, so that helps. Then, Mark's got another concert (the last part of his paid gig with SASO) on Sunday, so I'm already thinking about how to get everything done when my whole weekend will be spent away from home. Laundry, for instance, is hard to do when you're gone all day! As you can tell, I'm trying to stay ahead since I know the week and weekend will fly by. Next week, I'll start workshopping with my 101 class again and a week after that, their second paper will be due. So, I guess when it comes down to it, there's always something 'big' going on. No wonder the semester is going by so quickly!

One thing I wish I had spent more time documenting was the differences between one life situation and another. Everything is probably turning normal for you already and soon you won't be able to remember what's different.
