A few updates

It's been another busy week. Let's see--regarding jobs, I found out that I was not selected for the final writing program job I'd applied for. I submitted an application to tutor in the Learning Center at the community college. There are a few other ideas on my list job-wise; I'm setting aside some time on Monday for the job search.

As far as school goes, I got my paper back from Dr. Troike with some very nice comments and a grade I was very pleased with. I'm working on finishing up the second take-home quiz for his class now (just taking a break to clear my head before my last proofread of the answers). All that's left in that class is a presentation of my paper the week after next. I've got a group presentation to prepare for on Monday, then the last really big thing to do is finish my project for CR (my focus again this weekend). There's also a "final exam" for my Monday night class, but I'm not worried about it (the mid-term was a very manageable take-home essay).

For teaching, I've only got 3 classes left, and today we're meeting with a class at CESL again, so the students just talk to each other (very easy for me, and a good opportunity for them to interact with people from other cultures). I'll collect their final assignment a week from today, then my grades are due the following Monday. Really, since I just have the one class, that'll be pretty manageable.

I think that covers most of my news; Mark had a concert last night and has another one on Saturday, but he's a lot less stressed now that his recital is over. We're both really looking forward to the end of the semester!
