Verse 19

Wow--I can't believe it's October already. September went by really fast, which, I guess, was fine with me. In fact, we've only got one week before fall break. The semester is almost halfway over!

For my new verse today, I've picked one from the chapter we covered in the Crescent Project study last week. It speaks to the power of God's word, which just has so many important implications. The verse also reminds me of John 1:1, which has been a favorite of mine for a long time. In that light, it makes me think of what Jesus has achieved for us on the cross and the grace we have all received as a result.

Isaiah 55:11

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
