I'm back at school trying to get back into working mode. It's a strange week since I've just got today and half of tomorrow before I leave for the TESOL convention, so I'm not really going to get back to normal until next week.
Overall, spring break was good. I had a few moments on Wednesday and Thursday when I felt disappointed that I didn't get more work done--I was trying to do a lot of reading for my big paper for Dr. Troike's class and I just didn't get through as much as I thought I would. I don't know if that's because I wasn't disciplined enough, or just because I had planned too much. We did get our taxes all done, though, and that's a pretty big accomplishment!
We also enjoyed our visit with my parents, although Mark and I both had some stomach trouble over the weekend, so that wasn't ideal. But we did get to eat out at some fun restaurants and do some fun stuff around town. We visited the Tohono Chul botanical garden, browsed through a bunch of antique stores, and walked around at the 4th Avenue street fair. We were really busy, actually, and I'm kind of worn out! But we had fun doing things Mark and I wouldn't do just the two of us. It was great to have the company, and we hope Grandma and Pop-pop and Julie will all be able to come visit sometime soon, too. I do have some pictures to post, but I don't expect to have time to do that until next week.
For now, I've got to get ready to teach my class today and take care of some other stuff on campus. This afternoon, I'll be packing, then off to Denver tomorrow! Quite an exciting week.
